The ‘Empowered Women Empower Women’ event held at the Aviva building in London on 28th March 2018, in collaboration with The Law Society’s Ethnic Minority Lawyer’s Division (EMLD) and sponsored by Liberty Law Solicitors was a huge success.

Although slow and steady progress has been made in recent years, only 7% of Judges in the UK are from a BAME background. In order to address this under representation, SAL hosted an event to seek to inspire its members to think about a career in the Judiciary. Read the review here.

The Annual Awards & Ball 2016, in association with Alacrity Accountancy proved to be an exceptional evening. The event was a sell out with over 500 guests in attendance, some travelling from as far as Bristol and Nottingham to join in what is fast becoming the biggest social event in the legal calendar.
