NOTICE is hereby given to members pursuant to paragraph 4(f)(ii) of the Constitution

For AGM & Elections 2026

Wednesday, 30 September 2026, 6pm (for 6.30pm) at:

3DJB Chambers, Dickens House, 15 Took’s Court, London EC4A 1LB

AGENDA

1. Officers’ Reports:

• President – Muntech Kaur
• Secretary – Asia Razaq-Miah
• Treasurer – presented by Muntech Kaur

2. Approval of Audited Accounts

3. Election of the new Committee:

• Up to 12 persons to be elected by members present at the meeting (All candidates to be validly nominated)
• Hustings to be held if there are more than 12 nominations for the Committee.
• New Committee to choose and declare a President, Secretary and Treasurer

4. AOB

If you wish to stand for election or wish to nominate somebody to stand for election, please fully complete both of the following forms:

SAL-NOMINATION-FORM-ELECTIONS 2026 and

CONFLICT-DECLARATIONS- SAL v09.2026

and return both of them at the same time to: secretary@societyofasianlawyers.co.uk to be received by no later than 6pm on Monday, 28 September 2026. 

Important reminder: All SAL members are entitled to attend the AGM & Elections. However, to allow us sufficient time to check against our membership register prior to the AGM & Elections and to ensure that the venue has sufficient capacity to hold the level of attendees safely, we ask that you please email the Secretary at secretary@societyofasianlawyers.co.uk by no later than 6pm, Tuesday, 29 September 2026 of your intended attendance. Failure to provide the requested notification will result in refusal of entry. We also reserve the right to refuse entry of attendees on the grounds of health and safety. This does not apply to candidates who are standing for election, who are expected to attend in person.
