Society of Asian Lawyers and The Law Society bring you this topical debate on Monday 8th May 2017. PREVENT is 1 of the 4 elements of CONTEST, the Government’s counter-terrorism strategy. Introduced as a measure to safeguard people and communities from the threat of terrorism, it is viewed by many across the country with suspicion.

With recent events in Westminster bringing the issue of terrorism into sharp focus once again, we will be exploring the PREVENT strategy, where it has worked and where it has failed.
