SAL returned to Birmingham with their popular networking/social event: “Network to Success”. It proved to be a very successful evening with many members old and new, coming together and creating a fantastic atmosphere in the heart of Birmingham.
Although slow and steady progress has been made in recent years, only 7% of judges in the UK are from a BAME background. In order to address this under representation and following the success of a similar event in London in London 2017, SAL hosted an event in Birmingham to seek to inspire its members to think about a career in the judiciary.
With the implementation date of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) fast approaching, we teamed up with the SRA, The Law Society and Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP to bring you this event on GDPR, Anti-Money Laundering and Cybercrime.
The ‘Empowered Women Empower Women’ event held at the Aviva building in London on 28th March 2018, in collaboration with The Law Society’s Ethnic Minority Lawyer’s Division (EMLD) and sponsored by Liberty Law Solicitors was a huge success.

The Annual Awards & Ball 2016, in association with Alacrity Accountancy proved to be an exceptional evening. The event was a sell out with over 500 guests in attendance, some travelling from as far as Bristol and Nottingham to join in what is fast becoming the biggest social event in the legal calendar.
